KüKa: World Cuisine from Refugees for Refugees

Every week, refugees and volunteers meet in the Human Rights Centre to cook together.
KüKa: World Cuisine in Karlsruhe!
Once a week, refugees meet in the Menschenrechtszentrum (Human Rights Centre) to cook and eat togehter. Delicacies from around the world find their place on the table: curries, couscous, spaghetti and more! We celebrate lively conversations, cultural exchange, and the familiar feeling of being able to cook. After all, it is not possible to cook in the initial reception centres.
Experienced volunteers supervise the group of participants, usually around 12 people. Children are welcome to join their parents and participate. After cooking together everyone eats, does dishes and cleans up. The project is financed through donations from the Rotary Club Karlsruhe-Fächerstadt and is free of charge for the refugees.
